One of our trusty sources e-mailed us that Tribal DDB in Canada helped Gatorade relaunch its Canadian site. We love how it opens and the site is pretty impressive and hockey intensive (duh, no surprise).
It includes all the staples we've come to expect -- plenty of research and comparisons -- and this site also has a Sidney Crosby Gatorade giveaway sweepstakes. They also tout a new flavor: "X-Factor 87" -- which is a Strawberry and Watermelon mixture with Crosby on the bottle.
They did a good job with the history section, minus the fact that Gatorade still won't acknowledge that the first dunk actually didn't involve Bill Parcells. As I say in my book, Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka was the first coach dunked.
And the only other thing that was strange (again, for the most part I liked the redesign) was that under "Athletes We Fuel," it was all men.
Gatorade.com by the way also looks great. They have some pretty cool wall paper and a great way to look at the athlete roster. I noticed two additions, volleyball players Mike Lambert and Stein Metger and wheelchair athlete John MacLean, who was the first wheelchair athlete to complete the Hawaii Ironman.
