Gatorade Rain Hits Shelves
It hasn't even been posted on Gatorade.com, but Gatorade's new sub-line "Rain" is already on shelves -- at least here in Connecticut. On Tuesday, while I was doing my usual check of the sports drinks in the supermarket (don't worry, I was shopping as well), I did a double-take as I saw Lime and Tangerine flavors of "Rain." So here's my outlook on the flavor. If you someone who waters down your Gatorade because it's too strong, now you can essentially get the same formula as Gatorade without putting water in it. As promised, it's lighter tasting and reminds me of the taste profile of Vitaminwater. I also had a chance to try Berry (pictured left) and I'm making that my current favorite. It's worth a try.

Publix in Orlando is carrying the Rain in 64oz. bottles. Tried the lime and it was okay, my 6 year old liked the berry very much. My favorite flavor right now is the Rasberry Lemonade flavor. The Rain flavor does seem to be smoother but I can quite figure out what the lime reminds me of, maybe a green flavor ice popsicle is the closest I can think of..

Wow, David. I did not even know they were doing 64 oz. yet. The lime tasted to me like a melted ice popsicle as well.

Hi Darren!! Im really hoping you can answer some of my questions!!! I am thirteen years old, and live in Canada. For my geography class, we are doing a project on Product Industry Marketing...i can't quite remember the title, as I am babysitting, and of course, forgot to bring my home work. As usual, my teachers have crammed in my major assignments, right before the holidyas, and as usual, we are all trying to finish them (haha). I was wondering if you could possibly answer a few of my questions... I tried emailing Gatorade (from their website) but, i don't expect a return very soon. Maybe you could help me? Since I frogot my questions at home, ill try to wing it.
- Where does Gatorade get their materials?
- Develpoed or developing country?
- What are the labour laws?
-Where is gatorade produced?
- What is the affect on local economy?
- What is the affect on local environment? (ecological footprint)
There are more, but being a thirteen year old girl, i have other things on my mind haha. hopefully you can help me out!! I recieved great marks in my first term report card for geography, and i hope to get even better on my second term! thanks so much!!!!!!!

Hey Darren, question for you: How's the sodium in the new Rain stuff? Perhaps I should get off my butt and go pick some up, It's just a lazy saturday and I'm not quite motivated yet.
My fiance differs from me that she doesn't like gatorade for 'how salty it tastes.' I never noticed until she mentioned it.
I figure if the new stuff tastes a bit watered down ('milder' I guess I should write), then the sodium might be less, too?

Hi
I am a hardcore gatorade junkie. Its like a drug to me. If I don't have at least one gatorade a day I get very cranky. I just tried the lime 'rain' and I liked it very much. It was definetly less salty and not quite as sweet. I hope they keep this line going and don't discontinute it due to all the nay sayers.

Drinkin' Rain in Cairo Egypt and it tastes most excellent. Reg Rade always too strong - needed water - they now have saved me the hassle and I'm buying more of their product!
